Every exceptional spirit begins its journey as white dog, evolving over time into the rich, nuanced expressions we cherish.

Founded in 2016 by Carlo and Alecia Catucci, White Dog Distilling is a testament to their shared passion for crafting premium spirits. With backgrounds in science and culinary arts, they embarked on a mission to create exceptional distilled beverages that would captivate both newcomers and connoisseurs alike.

Joined by lifelong friends Vin Greene and Eric Sylvestre, Carlo and Alecia cultivated more than just a team; they fostered a distilling family, affectionately known as "The Pack." Together, they transformed a historic mill space in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, into a thriving micro-distillery and tasting room.

Since its inception, White Dog has remained a labor of love for The Pack. Fueled by their love for spirits and cocktails, and their unwavering commitment to craftsmanship, they tirelessly pursue perfection in every batch. Their dedication is evident in their refusal to offer anything less than spirits they themselves would proudly enjoy.

 Meet the Pack

  • Carlo Catucci

    Head Distiller, Co-Owner

    Carlo Catucci, Co-Owner of White Dog Distilling, is a graduate of Rhode Island College with a degree in Physics with a secondary teaching certification. He has been teaching Physics and Physical Science at Scituate High School since 1996. His home distilling hobby began with a five-gallon copper pot still and an alternative fuel license to make whiskey and rum at home. He is self-taught when it comes to distilling, reading everything he can and watching YouTube videos to learn how to distill. Carlo has developed the bulk recipes for the mash bills and distillation processes and is responsible for taking Alecia’s design for the tasting room and building the bar from scratch. His responsibilities include bartending, running tours, managing reports, mashing, fermenting, distilling, and building anything from planter boxes to a custom bar.

  • Alecia Catucci

    Co-Owner

    Alecia Catucci, Co-Owner of White Dog Distilling, is a graduate of Bryant University with a concentration in Marketing and Associates degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University. She has 20-plus years of retail experience in buying and product development. Her love affair with food, drink and quality drives her pursuit for great taste in what comes off the still, blending and creating flavors. Her responsibilities at White Dog are vast and include cocktail and spirit development, marketing and event planning, operations management, mashing, distilling, and bartending.

  • Eric Sylvestre

    Co-Owner

    Eric Sylvestre is a U.S. Navy veteran and long-time friend of co-owners Carlo and Alecia Catucci. When he’s not helping bartender or distill, he can usually be found sneaking a taste test of White Dog’s spirits for… “quality control.”
